About us

A home for classical and folk arts in Patna

Tara Institute of Learning runs Rasmanjari Music Academy — its performing-arts wing, which has trained students in Patna in the rich traditions of Indian classical dance and music for over twenty years.

Our classrooms follow the age-old guru-shishya parampara — the teacher-disciple tradition in which art is not merely taught, but handed down. Led by experienced instructors, the academy nurtures the talent and passion of each student, helping them reach their full potential in the performing arts.

Whether you are a beginner exploring music and dance for the first time, or an experienced artist refining your craft, you will find a structured, supportive environment here — one that instils a deep appreciation for the art forms while fostering discipline and dedication.

Students of every age and skill level are welcome. Many of our students have gone on to perform at cultural programmes across Patna and beyond.

What we stand for

Tradition

We teach in the guru-shishya parampara — knowledge passed personally, with respect for the classical and folk roots of each art form.

Discipline

Regular practice, structured lessons and stage exposure build the dedication that every performing art demands.

Expression

Technique is only the beginning. We help each student find their own voice — in rhythm, in melody, in movement.
